Receipts, scanned
Some of your spending never makes it into your bank feed: cash, gift cards, reimbursements. Now you can capture it with your camera. Point Spendify at a receipt and it pulls the merchant, total, date, and line items, then creates the transaction with the right category pre-filled. Edit anything that’s off and save.
It works on crumpled receipts, faded thermal paper, and even handwritten ones. The first scan is in your camera tab. Give it a try with whatever’s in your wallet.
Smarter auto-categorization
Behind the scenes, we moved our categorization engine to a new model that’s better at understanding context. The result: fewer “Uncategorized” transactions, fewer obviously-wrong category guesses, and faster suggestions. Your existing rules and overrides still take priority. The engine only fills in the gaps.
Email when it matters
We added an email channel for important account events: security alerts, payment receipts, weekly summaries. You can opt into or out of each category from Settings → Notifications.
What’s next
We’re working on letting you forward a receipt email straight to Spendify, so digital receipts get captured the same way physical ones do. Coming soon.
