v0.4.0: Spendify Enters Closed Beta

Spendify Team

Highlights

  • TestFlight distribution to early testers
  • In-app feedback and bug reporting
  • Core account management and manual entry
  • Biometric authentication (Face ID & Touch ID)

First users, first feedback

Spendify is no longer just running on our phones. Today we opened closed beta through Apple TestFlight, and a small group of early testers are putting the app through its paces.

What’s in the beta

Account management. Add and organize your debt accounts manually. We’re starting with manual entry so we can get the core experience right before adding bank connections.

Biometric authentication. Face ID and Touch ID from day one. Your financial data should be locked behind more than a password.

In-app feedback. Testers can flag bugs, suggest features, and tell us what feels wrong — all without leaving the app. This feedback loop is how we’re prioritizing what to build next.

The foundation. Navigation, settings, data storage, and the architecture that everything else will be built on. Not glamorous, but necessary.

What we’re learning

Even with a small group, patterns emerge fast. The biggest piece of feedback so far: people want to see their debt-free date immediately after adding their accounts. Not buried in a sub-screen — front and center. That’s shaping how we build the payoff planner.

What’s next

The debt payoff planner — the feature that Spendify was built around. Snowball and avalanche strategies with an exact debt-free date. It’s already in development.
